The Duracell myGrid can recharge multiple cellphones and other gadgets at the same time. Individual gadgets can be placed on top of the mat to draw electricity wirelessly. The mats can also tell when the battery is full and stops charging it.
Although some argue that the Duracell myGrid is more energy efficient that plugging all your devices in separately, experts say that isn't possible. "The wireless-transmission efficiency is never better than a copper wire, that is not possible," says Menno Treffers, chairman of the Wireless Power Consortium.
MyGrid, made by Duracell, costs $80. Additional prices include:
